Esto demuestra que ser\u00eda posible restaurar la conectividad neuronal tras el ACV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Obst\u00e1culos en la regeneraci\u00f3n cerebral<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El principal obst\u00e1culo es el ambiente hostil que enfrenta cualquier intento de terapia regenerativa en el cerebro da\u00f1ado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure amenazas\u201d, dijo&nbsp;<strong>Su-Chun Zhang<\/strong>, director del Centro para Enfermedades Neurol\u00f3gicas en el Instituto de Descubrimientos M\u00e9dicos Sanford Burnham Prebys y uno de los autores del estudio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adem\u00e1s, la presencia de tejido cicatricial refuerza este entorno adverso: \u201cEl tejido cicatricial rodea la cavidad para proteger el cerebro de m\u00e1s da\u00f1o, pero tambi\u00e9n crea una barrera contra cualquier regeneraci\u00f3n potencial\u201d, a\u00f1adi\u00f3 Zhang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image regi\u00f3n da\u00f1ada, con el objetivo de restablecer los circuitos mediante un rodeo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para Zhang, ese abordaje resulta insuficiente: \u201cTras un ACV, la lesi\u00f3n suele ser muy grande y presenta un reto inmenso para los esfuerzos de reconectar funcionalmente el cerebro con el tronco cerebral y la m\u00e9dula espinal\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Descubrimientos sobre la orientaci\u00f3n neuronal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reconstrucciones tridimensionales de estas neuronas demostraron que los patrones de proyecciones espinosas, esenciales para la conectividad del sistema nervioso, coinciden con los que presentan las neuronas normales entre la corteza cerebral y la m\u00e9dula espinal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para analizar la capacidad de orientaci\u00f3n de las neuronas regeneradas, el equipo emple\u00f3 c\u00f3digos gen\u00e9ticos de rastreo, integrados con secuenciaci\u00f3n de perfiles de expresi\u00f3n g\u00e9nica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"992\" corteza cerebral y m\u00e9dula espinal. (Imagen Ilustrativa Infobae)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zhang puntualiz\u00f3: \u201cRevelamos que cada tipo celular tiene su propio c\u00f3digo y, una vez que se convierten en neuronas, ese c\u00f3digo les indica enviar sus proyecciones o axones a distintas partes del cerebro y la m\u00e9dula espinal\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zhang describi\u00f3 el alcance de este hallazgo: \u201cEs la primera vez que se reporta este fen\u00f3meno tan llamativo y es importante porque b\u00e1sicamente nos dice que, si contamos con los tipos adecuados de c\u00e9lulas trasplantadas, ellas ya saben a d\u00f3nde ir y qu\u00e9 hacer para reparar lo perdido\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La investigaci\u00f3n, respaldada por el Consejo Nacional de Investigaci\u00f3n M\u00e9dica&nbsp;<strong>de Singapur<\/strong>&nbsp;y la Escuela M\u00e9dica de la Universidad de&nbsp;<strong>Duke<\/strong>, utiliz\u00f3 aprendizaje autom\u00e1tico para identificar cuatro subtipos neuronales derivados de las c\u00e9lulas trasplantadas, cada uno con patrones singulares de expresi\u00f3n g\u00e9nica responsables de guiar la extensi\u00f3n de los axones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"992\" height=\"556\" src=\"https:\/\/centroneurologicointegralguatemala.com.gt\/centro-neurologico-integral-guatemala\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-959\" srcset=\"https:\/\/centroneurologicointegralguatemala.com.gt\/centro-neurologico-integral-guatemala\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/image-1.png 992w, https:\/\/centroneurologicointegralguatemala.com.gt\/centro-neurologico-integral-guatemala\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/image-1-300x168.png 300w, https:\/\/centroneurologicointegralguatemala.com.gt\/centro-neurologico-integral-guatemala\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/image-1-768x430.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 706px) 89vw, (max-width: 767px) 82vw, 740px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El uso de aprendizaje autom\u00e1tico permiti\u00f3 identificar cuatro subtipos neuronales, cada uno guiado por c\u00f3digos g\u00e9nicos responsables de dirigir las conexiones axonales (Imagen Ilustrativa Infobae)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El impacto funcional depende, adem\u00e1s, de factores de transcripci\u00f3n que controlan esos patrones gen\u00e9ticos.
